Sans Liege (sahn leej) or “without allegiance” aptly describes owner/winemaker Curt Schalchlin’s tenacity to pursue wine-making on the central coast unhindered by the trappings of any particular style.
Curt is excited to to have the opportunity to be a part of a wine-making region which is still shaping its history. Sans Liege focuses on Rhone varietals (especially Grenache) and favors character over notoriety in its vineyard selections which span from Paso Robles to Santa Barbara County.
